Responsible Gambling Policy

Gambling should stay a form of leisure, not a source of pressure. Before playing, it is worth deciding how much time and money can realistically be spent without affecting everyday responsibilities. The main point is to keep control of play and avoid letting gambling create problems in personal, financial, or emotional life.

To keep gambling safer, players should remember a few practical rules:

  • Set a spending limit before starting to play.
  • Do not chase losses, as this can make the situation worse.
  • Pay attention to how often and how long each session lasts.
  • Take breaks during winning periods and think carefully about when to stop.
  • Treat gambling as entertainment, not as a way to get rich quickly or repay debts.
  • Remember that gambling is based on chance, and no system or formula can guarantee a win.
  • Avoid gambling while feeling depressed, angry, stressed, or upset.
  • Keep gambling balanced with other hobbies and daily activities.
  • Do not drink alcohol or take drugs while gambling.

Quick Self Assessment Test

This quick test is not a medical diagnosis, but it can help players notice warning signs early. Answer each question honestly:

  1. Do you often spend more time or money gambling than you planned?
  2. Have you tried to win back losses by gambling again?
  3. Do you feel restless, irritated, or anxious when trying to stop or reduce gambling?
  4. Have you hidden your gambling activity or gambling losses from people close to you?
  5. Have you borrowed money, sold something, or delayed bills because of gambling?
  6. Has gambling affected your work, studies, relationships, sleep, or daily responsibilities?
  7. Do you gamble when feeling stressed, lonely, depressed, angry, or upset?
  8. Have friends or family expressed concern about your gambling?
  9. Do you think about gambling often, even when you are not playing?
  10. Have you tried to cut back or stop gambling but found it difficult to do so?

If the answer is “yes” to one or more questions, it may be a good moment to take a break and use responsible gambling tools. If several answers are “yes”, or gambling is already affecting money, health, or relationships, players should consider contacting a support organisation or using self-exclusion.

Deposit Limits

Daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits can be added to a Yukon Gold Casino account.

Players who feel a deposit limit would help them stay in control can contact the casino support team to discuss the available options.

If a player later asks to raise or remove a deposit limit, the change will not apply straight away. Increased limits become available only after a 24-hour waiting period has passed.

Self-Exclusion

Yukon Gold Casino offers self-exclusion options for players who feel they may have a gambling problem or need a short-term or longer-term break from gambling.

Available restriction options include:

  1. Cooling-off periods from 24 hours to 6 weeks.
  2. A 6-month self-exclusion period.

Once self-exclusion has been applied, the decision cannot be reversed. Players should think carefully before requesting it and, if unsure, speak with a gambling help organisation before committing to the restriction.

To start a self-exclusion period because of a gambling problem, the player should contact the casino support team and discuss the responsible gambling options that best fit their situation. After that consultation, an email request is required before effective restrictions can be applied. The request must be sent from the email address registered to the Casino Account.

Self-exclusion should not be treated as active until the casino sends a confirmation email to the address registered on the casino account.

Players who choose self-exclusion should also exclude themselves from any other gambling operators where they hold accounts. A Comprehensive Self-Exclusion request can be submitted to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. This helps make the exclusion more effective.

Note: If Yukon Gold Casino considers it unwise or unhealthy to reopen a Gaming Account, the account may be closed permanently at the sole discretion of Yukon Gold Casino. Yukon Gold Casino may also initiate an exclusion if there is reason to believe the account holder has a gambling problem, or if continued gambling activity is considered against the best interests of the player or the casino.

Note: Although Yukon Gold Casino makes every effort to identify accounts opened after self-exclusion, self-excluded account holders should not open new accounts. The casino cannot be held responsible for gambling activity on accounts created to bypass its systems.
